I've never understood the reasoning either. But plenty of people seem to, up to them I guess.

Hi I'm new here its my car someone on the subaru forum told me about here. I would of posted here but i think its kind of cheeky to join a forum to sell a car. Which is why i didnt post it in the for sale. The reason the plates are blanked is because I have had a car id stolen when I was selling on ebay previously and ended up with a pile of unpaid parking fines in london somewhere I have never been except to walk from one terminal to another in an airport. If you want the reg to datacheck I'll quite happily give it to you

Thanks for coming on here, and thanks for your honesty.

You'll get very honest feedback from the club and hopefully some more leads!
I wish you good luck with the sale, not least because I currently own one identical and it's my favourite ever!

Quick few plus points:

Rear wiper, unusual on the UK chamade, impossible on some Euro versions.
Tungsten grey, great colour
4 doors, great for lifting kids in/out of.
Leather!
Nice and standard... we like that!

Please be aware that the Bendix ABS system can sometimes be a bit of a turn-off with its likelihood of randomly dying and sending you into a ditch. But while its working, no probs!

In fact, why are you selling this... keep it!

I wish I had the time and pennies to keep it, but I've got a 65 singer chamois in the garage needing work, a legacy B4 needing a bottom end, and an RX7 needing a rebuild. The other half is moaningabut it all the time as it makes her getting into the drive harder. And t top it off I've just bought a single turbo legacy which she doesnt know about yet.

And that reminds me i should have a haynes manual and reno workshop manuals for the ABS

I'd be really interested in any ABS information you might have.
Mine caught fire of its own accord and I'm glad I (and other friends) was near the car at the time!

Otherwise I'd be sorely tempted, missus would go absolutly spare mind and I need to get the black hatch shifted. Thinking about calling a breaker to come and take it.

As and when I get my finances sorted out, and if it's still available then I could go for it. Would prefer a hatch but bollox to it, it's a Ph1 in my fav colour
