But i could not understand why, Ive you get a R21T mapsensor which sees boost, En remap the orginal renix/siemenis you can use the orginal wiring. or get a Fastchip: Code:
Necessary for Turbocharging a F7P & F7R 16V engine. Features: Up to 1.1 Bar boost Adapted to BOSCH 0280 150 802 Injectors Altered closed loop Safety ignition retard due to higher intake temperatures Changed start and warm-up fuel delivery Optional Boost cut-off limiter Price EUR 275,- Its only an advise keep up the good work |

What was the lifetime of it? What about the driveablity? in the netherlands we talk about milibars not in psi. But 5psi is 350milibar and isnt much. My goal 800milibars and is 12psi with an compression ratio of 9 to 1. High compression ratio's with relative highboost prevent turbo lags. But ran closer to nocklevels. Good map work is the key for succes with a good intercooler. My cooling system is allmost orginal, i only changed thermostat to 82 degrees Celsius with a heatchanger under the oilfiltre it will be enough. |

I guess about 190bhp but i never had it on a rolling road, thats just in comparison to other cars. With the T28 there was minimal lag and acceleration in 5th gear from 2.5k rpm was very impressive.
After about 6k miles the crank started to get a very slight rattle on startup and 4th and 5th gears had gotten a bit noisey. This was an engine with over 100k on it before turboing. Running on 95 octane fuel 5psi was the very limit with my setup, in higher gears more than a few seconds and WOT with result in pinking. A 25% AvGas mix made it run very very nice. I have no idea of intake temps but its something i'd like to monitor on the new engine. I had a low temp thermostat and fan switch in it and never had a single problem with temps, even without the coolant/oil heat exchanger |
