Retro-Renault For Sale

No longer for sale

Wicked Neo has become my partner in crime and will be pushing things forward with regards to the physical end of the club while i'll stay and look after the website etc.

Feel free to send any suggestions to him or badger him with questions

Quote:
Ok, peeps.

The site as you see it is for sale, including the website, domain name, copyright on all the tech articles, stickers, membership cards, banner, stands, fliers, cafepress shop etc etc.

The only thing i will be keeping is my email address to keep things simple

With a little bit of time and effort the club could become something great, effort i can't put in as i'm in the wrong country.

Anyone interested MUST have an understanding of why this site is here.

Please PM any questions

Thank you

Chet, you do an excellent job and the transition to vB was really excellent. In fact, RR puts most car forums to shame despite some of us children throwing our toys out the pram from time to time.

It was great to see you and Hanna (and the cabby!) at FCS this year, it's not like you're the invisible man or anything.

You should be proud of the site, and I hope if you do choose to sell up it's for a proper reason.

Chet - don't go!

Chet, what figure do you have in mind to make the sale and how much does it cost you to run?

Yeah at a minimum. A better server is really needed and the real outlay will be where its been most lacking i.e. the non website end of things

the non website thing is a shame but frankly the free exchange thing i think is more appropriate, exactly how much could you put on a website to accompany this, brief write ups, history, all that which can be found in here in the forum, i can understand the sale reasons, i imagine its quite frustrating being based in ireland owning such a forum, no events to speak of over here and moreso no enthusiasts (or at least not in large amounts), i would definately think rr would be more at home in britain

I'm inferring that none of the current moderators will be taking on the site then. That's a real shame. As well as a question (why not!)

I'd love to but i already administer a website ( tranceaddict ) and with almost 75,000 registered members, that takes up a shit load of my spare time.

Neal, isn't this something you'd be interested in running? I myself would put up the money and a host but I wouldn't want people to think Retro would become an extension of RSC.

Where's Chris these days as well?
