I am back again - Retro-Renault

hey folks, been missing from the forums for a while but finally got new job sorted (community social car worker for now) did my training for getting a pub in the near future which is the big plan, the 19 is still running - needs a few things doing urgently though, and a few more that Si found when he borrowed it to take to WSR (ao I was there in spirit via the 19)

will try and start a project report soon as it may inspire me

hoping to make Trax but no guarantees yet

the Megane front was fixed but due to not having the remaining bits to install (grill and bonnet release) the nose flexed in the heat and windspeed and cracked again, this time the whole nosecone/bumper will be removed and fibreglassed from the inside and then sprayed and refitted - if I can find a guide to removing a 2007 front bumper anywhere, Haynes only do manual for up to 2006 and not sure if its the same

the miniature 19 models in 1/43 scale are still being worked on (more so now as I have time again) and hope to be in production in about 6-8 weeks

so what have you lot been up to?

hehe, at least some part of me was there, things are pretty good, work long and difficult at the moment but at least its a job, had nearly 2 months out of work and ran up a few bills but they are mostly clear now and we can start living again instead of scraping by, and when we get a pub there will have to bea classic Renault evening every once in a while :-)

Alright Paul, cheers again for the lend of the 19, typical is it not, I have 3 of them and not one of them in a state to make it up to WSR lol

I left you a couple of presents in the car, I wonder if you have noticed them yet (that does not include the driveshaft in the boot, got home last night and realised i had left the damn thing in your car lol )

you are welcome mate, anytime I cant get to a show I am glad if the 19 can, to tell you the truth I havent even been near the car, got home yesterday and it was here and didnt even look at it

guess where I am going now

must say it looked pretty good in the photos, its definitely a 4ft car (ie looks better 4 foot away)

i definitely think this thread is worth re-hashing... you still into making a few 1/43 kits paul? with the completion of the renault room on the horizon i gotta get my hands on some 1/43 19's stat...
