No i've not got her back yet Pete. Gotta wait for the Omega to be taxed before I can go fetch her but she's been paid for and just waiting collection. I was gong to go next weekend but we're off rallying around Mansfield so it's looking like the 4th or 5th now to go get her. First things first is to get it back then make sure the engine runs OK and that the brakes work. It's then off for an MOT to see what else needs doing but the engine has to come out so I can fully work on the shell.
I refuse to chav her up and with the exception of a modifying a GTT carb to fit (So I can intercool her) it's going to be pretty much standard. 120-140bhp will be swift enough in a sub 900Kg car and hopefully reliable to but we'll see. |

the GTT carb ain;t that great the grp A mod is some mong openign up the venturi and 95% of the time fucking it up.
The set up you have can be adapted to take a cooler or charge cooler or water spray. Stick with the weber though! |

Ash, yeah the engine is the wrong way around compared to the GTT and the gearbox is mounted to the front :S
I thought the GTT Carb and/or Fuel Injection was a good idea all be it not keeping in character of the original car. If I can keep it 100% stanadard and still get close to a reliable 140bhp then i'll be happy. |

Lowe introduced me to a man who used to have a serious Mk1 Tubby on RTOC and i've claimed all his left overs from when he sold it. Just not sure about kitting it up as i'd prefer to keep it as original as possible.
