i see, where did you go for them and how illegal are they? I need new plates on mine but i don't want one of the new ones that has the ghey flag on the side, that would ruin the car

they are very illegal, if your pulled or not depend son the copper.

you can get normal style plates without the flag from the factors.

new plates can really smarten up a tatty looking car

touch wood..alls been well so far..there the alliminium embbosed ones.
i have a set of normal ones too but alliminum ones again and have the 'f' as opposed to 'gb'..had them on for around 5months,no probs...

guess its gona be a bored cop with naff all to do who willprobly stop me

i'l just tell him im keeping it retro

I think pre 91 cars over here are legally allowed have the old style plates... could be wrong tho'

yes, because thats when the new plates and new law came in, pre 1973 can still have the black and white plates, cars after that have to have the newer design by law.

Like catalytic converters, pre 93, u dont need one, after 93 u do

Same applies to stuff like musical air horns, legal on pre 1977 cars iirc but after that, you have to have a single or dual tone horn.
