new alterantor on there


was told the head gaskets gone big time


doesnt look to be any "widowmaker" brakes in there


even has a starter motor heat shield down there

brand new battery i put on there, no ignition tho, in fact no signs of life anywhere! a bit worrying tho, any ideas?

Nah...Completely dead is probably going to be easier to diagnose that a series of intermittent and seeming unrelated faults...

At the back of the Haynes Holy Bible of Renault 19, there is a wiring diagram for the whole car. I would start there. I would guess this has to be pretty early in the circuit, before things start spitting off and returning by various earths else you'll get *some* signs of life.

I assume you have checked the earth that runs straight from the battery to the body?
