Well the ebay bought valver is an absolute stormer, made it the 400ish mile trip home without missing a beat (yes my insurance was sorted). It really is as good as he described it. Drives smooth as any new car I've driven, the leather interior is immaculate bar some marginal wear on the drivers seat. The rest of the interior is mint too with no squeaks or rattles. Mechanically great too bar needing a new o/s cv joint.

It's got some bad points though, o/s wing has a slight dent on the forward side of the arch, the digi display is knackered, just readable, tacho cuts out on occasion but mostly works, did die for an hour on the way up though. Think there is a definate leccy problem though. First noticed that the Hazard button bulb was out then looked down and it was on????? Also the same with the oil pressure bulb on the dash, also lights up the bottom corner of the tacho, wasn't working the all of a sudden it was. Stopped at stirling to stock up on red bull, set off again and the whole dash was in darkness, gave it a thump and the lights came on again???????

Gonna get an auto spark to look it over and fix any bugs as I'm pants with anything electrical.

As for the digi display I've got the one from the black 19 to put in it.

Anyway I believe I got a good one this time so gonna get these little things fixed and get it ready for the MOT in january.

Will see what kind of day it is tomorrow, she needs a clean after her journey and it's been dull and pissing down all day so haven't bothered to venture outside

Hazard light not lighting up is standard. It's nearly impossible to replace the bulb.

My tacho on my chamade did the same thing as yours, just swap it for another.

For the intermittent dash lighting, check the little slider dial thingy on the left hand side of the steering column. Pull it out and have a look, it's a pretty rudimentary design, a fault here would cause what youre seeing.
