Magnet's on the cooling system

If you don't know Chunk now make magnet's for a living, that's give us access. to some werid shape, that come out of the srcap bin. Now, I've been think. if I was to use one on the outside of the coolant bottle. and run it for a week, let say. Before removing it, and giving it a good flush. Would this give the system a good help. to remove the very fine metal in the system, as well a flush. I'll take it, with it been on the bottle it should do no harm. Unless a big blob build up, and break's away. ?

Just an idea. with the acess We now got to these magnet's.

i dont see why not, some cars have magnets in thier sumps for the same purpose, to collect bits of metal floating around in the oil

Well the idea is to run it on the 19. remove the bottle with magnet still in place, flush it. and the system. and then run it for a while, then flush again.

why not take the aux water pump off as thats where the magnet is and is always filled with metal.

magnet on the coolant bottle won't do much, 99% of it is stuck to the hoses and int he water gallery, pull the lump ouyt pop the core plug and dig in with a screwdriver to get it out.
