clutch cable 19 16v what a nightmare

what a weekend, i was towing my 205 gti from my parents house to mine (45 miles) on my a frame when the clutch cable snapped on the 19 . i still had to get through 6 roundabouts at 5.30pm so ti say i am hated by other drivers was an understatement. any way next morning i went to dingbro and got new one, then the real nightmare starts. what a c#nt of a job it, took me near 6 hours to do this usually simple task, and that included an hour away cooling down before i totally lost it lol. its quite a tight job and if anyone plans it then make sure you have string.thank god thats mine done now. and to top it off someone stole my half leather out of my peugeot while my parents were in france.

Welcome to Renault engineering.

They fit so many different engines and equipment levels into body shells it hard work for them to keep up with it.

Then you have left hand drive, (like mine as I live in France) or right hand.

Good start. I have just messed with the starter motor.

I feel your pain, not quite as much tho as after abit of swearing at it I had it done in a hour. Do get a renault one though, I could only get one from the factors (was in stock unlike everywher else) and it has been problematic with difficulties getting reverse and second without crunching.
