I think im going mad

well i must be goin mad ive decided to shell out some serious money on my 19 providing my bank manager is in a good mood but just a quickie

has any one on this forum had the 1.8 16v renault lump converted to turbo???????

whats power gain likly to be in bhp acceleration and top speed also what would the reliability be like and service intervals running costs maintance ect like also who are the best people to use im looking at BB performance

wow good move! hope you're told your bank manager what it'll all cost!

would it not make even more sense to do the conversion on a 2.0? especially if you're using standalone management i guess you can keep the megane F7R head and b/e

i don't know btw, just a question lol

possibly i reckon im looking the right side of 3k and im not sure wether to use the 2.0 or the normal engine i spose the 2.0 would be better power wise but on the other hand theres not much room when you drop one of them in the 19

there's no size difference between the F7P and F7R engines. And there will still of course be room for a turbo in the r19 bay.

the available space/packaging down the back of the engine in the 19 is the main obstacle to effective reliable turbo installations. without spending big money there are always compromises. that log manifold for starters.

Great engine conversion. Not sure what it would be like in the 19 but i have it in a renault 5 and thats just stupidly quick thats when its back on the road again after a minor disagreement with the headgasket
