280 brakes

righty, do I stick my big brakes on the megane coupe or on the chammy?

i'm umming and ahhing about it at the moment.

Chammy issues, way I see them.

259's are original, they are up to the job, I fitted brand new gear and never been driven on yet (lol), need to do a bit of suspension work

but 280's are bigger, bigger is better, they will fill the wheel right out and should improve the braking, although not by miles or anything.

coupe, its a 1.6 coupe so no real need for them, if I fit it to the chammy I can put the 259's on the coupe (up from 238's), will look better behind the coupes bigger wheels.

So not too sure still on what to do, got myself a bargain though, you lot won't believe what i got, hubs, struts, calipers and discs for.

From what you have said I would say to put them on the chammy and put the chammy ones on the coupe as that way both get an upgrade but you still have the better brakes on the one that needs it most.

So, how much did they cost you then?

There's an arch liner in there, did we take the jack from that one? Floor mats, bulkhead linings, coolant bottle, fuses, relays...

Well all I can say is the meg's 280 setup, take's more hammer than the 259mm setup. well the one's that are setup right. unlike chunk's a few month ago, that was lowered to feck and put all it's effort on the rear disc's.

The meg setup, as bigger disc's/pads and caliper. so yep I would.

280mm barkes? What car are they from? I assume you need a new 280 disc, & caliper crrier? do you need a bigger caliper too?
On my volvo 850 I cud upgrade from standard 280mm discs to 302mm just by changing the carrier & disc. Can use the original caliper, is this set up the same?
