Euro Trip '08

Who would be up for a nice drive in the country - or more than one country in fact!?

Imagine taking the Eurostar under the channel, visiting the Renault Histoire & Collection, driving down through France, ending up in Germany for the Nurburgring leg of the World Series By Renault! We can organise some meets along the way and see how they do Retro in Europe.

I'm thinking the end of August. The main cost will be fuel as we can camp during the trip and eat fairly cheaply.

Sounds like a really good plan there, Hopefully I'll have my shed up and running as it should by then. Also hope I'm not offshore.

All going to plan, count me in

We can stay as long as people feel necessary. I may well be staying on to make an extended holiday (my first holiday in about 12 years lol).

Dates are open to suggestions although WSR '08 at Nurburgring is I believe 30th Aug.

If wanted, i can find out about hotels / B&B when the time comes to organising it. We have stayed in a little B&B about 20mins away from nurburgring, can not remember the name of the village but a great B&B, with lovely steak and drinks. This time we are staying in a 4* hotel about 25mins away, but will only find out what that is like till first week of May.

That kind of thing sounds perfect, along with the odd camp night for giggles (and cheapness)

I'd possibly be up for it, depending on whether or not I have enough holiday left this year...

... and how much over £1.50/litre fuel is at that time.

you can always take the ferry from italy and role down to Greece for a couple of days or so..

or you can come as far as italy and meet with our club there . we will be more than happy to help on that effort let alone join you on a grand meeting
