19 16v versus clio 16v
ok got a few questions, i used to have a 1.8 rti 19 and i have had three clio valvers, Just wondered peoples opinions
1. What actually handles better? always felt that the 19 was more stable even though what i have was a lesser model to the 16v, whereas the clio always felt faster through the bends 2. Easiest to work on? i presume they might be both about the same being similar running gear although im told the 19's bay is tighter although i never once had to touch the 19's engine compartment apart from fluid levels. 3. What do people prefer? and why? what reason do you like that Car over another? Just running ideas into my head of getting a r19 16v Dave

19 handles better,
clio is a lot harder to work on but my choice is the clio...(many of the guys on here will say its cos im a girl) but i love the look of it! its a small hatch wich is what i wanted..and the extra gauges do it for me..plus the noise is by far nicer!

1. 19 is more stable and imo is comfier and handles better.
2. depend son the job tbh! But the 19 is easier I would say. 3. 19, rusts less, more stable, better toys, not as cheap. 4. clios tend to cost more and have owners more willing to fork out money on them. The clio with an IK sounds great as it mounts on the TB but loses power on the clio but IK's gain on the 19.

The 19 does handle better and is easier to work on, yep its quite tight in the bay but the same engine in a clio bay is even tighter!
I'd say on pull away the clio is slightly quicker but the 19 always beats it at top end (not quite sure why to be honest but it does, chris h can explain better) and yes roger has a clio cos he is a girl

I've owned most of the 'old school' hot hatches including 19 16v, Clio 16v and Clio Williams 1 and I rate the 19 even higher than the Williams! This is why I bought another 19 16v for my trackdays. Finding a decent 19 for sale is getting increasingly difficult though.

clios are common..but i must admit valvers/williams arnt seen that much..well around here anyway.
i like the agressive look of them.. think i might go for a performance panel filter over and ik, no powerloss. but even so, its just that noise i love.. i remeber when me and neal had a race that time at the lights..that noise was awesome! and as for neo and jb..there just jelous. :P
