lol i was bored of the crappy Bmw, now have this.
K&N panel filter and Bluefin remap, 2.0 16v vvt 6 speed st170
186 BHP 171 lb/ft (these come with forged pistons and steel rods etc as standard)

loving it to pieces, ash already trying to set me up with a race on the 5brid but im sure the weight differences to the power that lil thing puts out would pretty much see me off......one thing i will put a stop to the though is the ones who say that there standard 19 16v would blow an st170...whilst searching for this one i test drove a few of them. and after owning a very good strong 19 16v which had an almost new engine in it after the rebuild and was not nearly as quick as the focus.... one thing with the focus which i found is torque comes in massivley at 1500 rpm and carries on til redline with waves of it coming and peak bhp at 7000 rpm which means you get bost of best worlds.

i will admit it does not have the character of the 19. but reason i gt it as i need something i can rely on daily and modern, the focus's steering is best i have ever felt at speed is sharp as hell and precise and ford have managed to illiminate nearly all torque steer, i have found though you need to keep traction control on as when you change gear at 70 in 2nd gear it spins the wheels into 3rd. i nearly got a clio cup 182 but did not like the quality of the dash, steering wheel etc, i know its trivial but wehen spending 6k i wanted somethingi like.

i drove my dads focus for a while it was a standard 1.6.. nice car well laid out and lovely drive... but the acceleration wasnt as great as i thought it woulda been especially in 5th gear and it was as thirsty as hell... plus if you put the heaters onto 3 or if you had the rear heated windscreen on etc... (any of the dash with orange numbering basically) it drank petrol like mad, appart from that a lovely car to drive.. i just couldnt afford it...

Do like the ST170's, they look so understated which is always a good thing. The only thing im not too keen on is the ST170 badging on the side strips and it looks though its sitting abit on the high side.

in the pics it had just come down off two poster ramp so suspension not settled back down,, it actually sits lovely, the syickers on the side warn off idiots in corsas etc as from side they did not know what car it was so i thought that be best way of telling them lol, it means they leave me alone and stopp pestering me for burnoffs lol.

would have to agree but at the same time I dont think it really matters badges or not as whenever I take the 5 out for a run occasionally there they are the saxo/corsa brigade wanting to race everyone in there 1.1's but if you engage them they just try following you around getting on your nerves
