I'm with Neal, don't think i would want them on the car once its had £2000 odd spent on paint but what i used to do years ago when CB Radio was popular was to have a very thin layer of felt under the mag mount, i never got any scratches on the paintwork even when once at over 100mph the mag mount blew off the top of the car lol
