air tools

bought myself a compressor yesterday and I'm looking to get a half decent impact wrench to go with it. I don't want to spend a fortune so snap on and mac tools are out the window but i don't want to buy one that's going to break in no time.

any ideas?

yeah, trying my hand at DIY garage painting. got a 3hp 50 litre compressor for £80 which was a good little buy but it won't have the puff to spray a whole car in one go. lol

I would have got one with a bigger tank but money was an issue with the new baby coming along.

i have been using air tools from aldi and they seem to be coping with the abuse i have gave them so far. i have had them nearly a year now and they are still going strong and used on a regular basis.

we went to an old jaguar breakers ages ago which was closed down, we were given permission to go and get a few bits for a mates xjs v12, whilst there we found a massiv upright compressor which worked on 240v so we got it in trailor, still going well now.

this one is tempting for the warranty

1/2" AIR IMPACT WRENCH 3 YRS GUARANTEE 719770 on eBay, also, Air Tools, Power Tools, Business, Office Industrial (end time 30-Mar-08 14:35:00 BST)

and this one looks to be a goodun if it stays cheap or he has a BIN price in my range.

Ingersoll - Rand 1/2" Drive Impact Wrench (Pneaumatic) on eBay, also, Air Tools, Power Tools, Business, Office Industrial (end time 28-Mar-08 15:59:04 GMT)

what do you think?

both of them seem to be quite good. i would personally go for the new one as that has a guarentee on it.

yeah, i was thinking that too. the guy doesn't have a BIN price for the ingersol so i might just see how the auction goes for it.

rather a decent second hand ingersol than a cheap new one.....but that warranty is tempting. lol

well going by the ending times you could keep an eye on the ingersol one and if that works out too expensive then you still have two days left for the other one
