A levels

Has anyone done A level english language?

I'm looking at doing an ICS home learning A level to better my job prospects when I leave the army in 12 years. I can't get into 6th form to study it as I'm working all the time so this is the only way to achieve my aim.

a level english language: uk distance learning a levels, home study a levels - ICS Learn

any thoughts?

I dropped out after 9 months and got a job.

But in all seriousness. I was doing well. Psychology course was really interesting. I was the only guy on it though. But what you learn in there is brilliant for reading people and excellent interview skills techniques.

English Language was the hardest I seem to remember. Although I still enjoyed it. A lot of book study. Tonnes of reading and evaluating. And some of the litereature was quite heavy going. I am going back a few years now.

Socioligy was good, Big group discussions

I always wished that I had kept at them tbh. I think I would have done OK

But tbh School is the the be all and end all. You can leave with little or no qualifications, drop out of college and still land a good job. Determination, social skills, life skills and luck play a big part in getting what you want

yeah, tht's true Mals but if you don't have any qualifications then it's hard to even get an interview by all accounts.

I've got the time to do it and i have no requirement to leave the forces at 40 so I could just do it for my own development.

here it's high school til 18 year old (19 for me) than I went to University. But, college, university same thing here, levels are Bachelors degree, Masters degree, than Doctorate. (though it might be colleges don't do doctorate degrees)
