Why would he want to wake you up and move you along? No commission for doing that is there.

I loooooooove towing people that park in our lot that aren't supposed to, it's fun. Particularly the guy that came running across the street from the employment office as his car was being hauled off...
Bunch of lazy people, there's usually free public spots a few blocks away, I suppose that would require too much walking... (I pay a monthly fee for my lazyness, my spot is right next to the building I work in) right downtown too, great on the weekends, I've always got a spot...

is rarely serious

Yes I hate traffic wardens as everyone does, I don't think anyone has the right to charge for someone going where they want, especially on public roads.
But I am constantly frustrated by the lack of parking provision where I like (a provincial city). It is impossible to rent a house with a garage, large or double garages are unheard-of and new builds do not provide any room at all. It's the fault of the planning department, they are told to specify that houses should not have sufficient parking in order to force people onto public transport - not that anyone is providing that, but that's a separate issue. No, we're all forced to live in miserable boxes with specially made small furniture and supposed to be thankful for spending 8 times our salary on a flat which we will pay shed loads more for in mortgage. Fucking Labour ruining our economy for 11 years now with their constant state borrowing and generally screwing over small businesses. Now a recession is looming the have nowhere to turn, and we will all bear the brunt. |

It would take a foolish man to try and issue me with a ticket while I was changing a tyre at the side of the road with a wheel brace in my hand...
