Angry bloody parking ticket

yes yes yes i know, most are gonna say "if you have done wrong, pay it and stop whinning"* blah blah blah....to cut a long story short, i had a short nap in the car between heathrow flights coming in, when a resident in a street, knocked on the window of the car, woke me to say "excuse me, do you realise this was a resident permit parking area, and i got a ticket on my window?" to say i was a bit miffed is an understatement, so i took the ticket off, half asleep, and cursed a bit more, then the lady said "he's not long gone down the road". so i eventually turned the car around, went down the road to have a word and said to him about the ticket, his reply was, "well you were parked in a permit only parking space"* so i said, couldnt you have just knocked on the windscreen and said about the space being a resident PP area, and guess what his reply was?* "no, because we can be accused of damaging the vehicle" can you honestly believe that reply???????????* well, i can only say the conversaion went downhill after that when i told him what a c0ck he was with a reply like that.* then they wonder why people hate them so much, if i had locked the car up, buggered off shopping for a few hours and came back to a ticket, then fair enough, i'd pay it, but i didnt realise it was a RPP area coz it was raining when i pulled up, and wasnt going to wander round in the rain reading signs.tbh i thought a vehicle had to be left unattended to be issued with a parking ticket??????????

i wil post up some pics later when i downloaded them onto my home laptop, just to show i was actually in the vehicle ffs

Why would he want to wake you up and move you along? No commission for doing that is there.

I loooooooove towing people that park in our lot that aren't supposed to, it's fun. Particularly the guy that came running across the street from the employment office as his car was being hauled off...

Bunch of lazy people, there's usually free public spots a few blocks away, I suppose that would require too much walking... (I pay a monthly fee for my lazyness, my spot is right next to the building I work in) right downtown too, great on the weekends, I've always got a spot...

Yes I hate traffic wardens as everyone does, I don't think anyone has the right to charge for someone going where they want, especially on public roads.

But I am constantly frustrated by the lack of parking provision where I like (a provincial city). It is impossible to rent a house with a garage, large or double garages are unheard-of and new builds do not provide any room at all.

It's the fault of the planning department, they are told to specify that houses should not have sufficient parking in order to force people onto public transport - not that anyone is providing that, but that's a separate issue.

No, we're all forced to live in miserable boxes with specially made small furniture and supposed to be thankful for spending 8 times our salary on a flat which we will pay shed loads more for in mortgage.

Fucking Labour ruining our economy for 11 years now with their constant state borrowing and generally screwing over small businesses. Now a recession is looming the have nowhere to turn, and we will all bear the brunt.

It would take a foolish man to try and issue me with a ticket while I was changing a tyre at the side of the road with a wheel brace in my hand...
