ok than my sunday
wanted non Renault chat? (might be some, sorry I'll keep it as short as possible)
I spent the day with my son, my wife went off shopping with a friend of hers. We washed the Fuego (he's 2 so he really just splashed in puddles a bunch.) did some raking, chatted with the neaghbors, went for a walk (very nice day today, obviously) Had lunch than we watched Cars(the Pixar/Disney movie) More running around, did some vacuuming, than he wanted to watch 'vroom vroom' which means Top Gear (just the parts when cars are driven fast though, anything where they're standing around chatting he has no intrest.) He knocked out while that was on(the 1,500 sport coupe one) got a few hours of shut eye so I had time to finish some laundry. Wife came home around 5, washed her car (the passat) than a friend of mine showed up in his 66 Austin Healy. Than another friend of mine that lives across the street(he's got an 81 Rabbit L and an 84 GTi) stopped by. Wife, son and I went to the drive-in diner, with my friends to met up with the local VW group to hang out for a while and have dinner. I would have taken the Ghia, but needs a battery and I forgot to turn the insurance back on friday DOH! So we(family) took the Passat, which turned out to be a better idea, it got quite chilly. Fun evening, topped off my getting to watch my friend try to get the top on the Austin Got home about 20 min ago and my wife is up stairs putting our son to sleep. All in all it was a very good Sunday... (oh and the dog, she just spent the entire day sleeping in the sun.. )

yup, rabbit, for the first gen, golf for 2-4 gens, and back to rabbit for 5th gen. at least the GTi has always just been a GTi (dad bought one new when they first came out in the US in 1983)

Best car show ever! Could be one of the best TV shows ever, it's in the top 5 at least. Wife and I have been watching it for close to 4 years now.

No, he doesn't. That's fine, I laugh my ass off when he makes fun of America, particularly when he does it with that Texas accent he uses whenever he tries to talk like an American.
I think Deadliest Catch is better than Scrubs.

oh no my friend, the painting part was the funniest thing i've seen on telly for a long long time, to have stuff like nascar sucks and man love rules ok painted on their cars and the reaction it got was priceless.
I know that not all Americans are like that (I dated a girl from indiana for 5 years) but the Americans they showed in top gear spesh from that gas station where Ma calls in the clampits to beat their asses are exactly what most of the world considers Americans to be like and that's all thanks to the likes of Jerry Springer who have their talk shows beamed all around the world. The family of the girl i dated were the most warmest, most generous and most liberal minded people i've ever met, her dad was USAF, her mum a teacher and both her sisters were at college, the only member of her family who freaked me out a little was her grandad who insisted on carrying a gun with him everywhere he went lol. When i first met her she had a ford thunderbird which i enjoyed driving but that got totalled by some guy in a right old clunker who hit it, after that she had a pontiac firebird even though i tried to persuade her to get a 68 dodge charger lol
