Joystick - Retro-Renault

need a joystick for my Amiga 500.

Looked on ebay but nothing came up.

Any ideas where to get one folks?

any sega mega drive joypad or stick is fine.

master system ones work too but obviously they're a bit older and more crappy.

shuggy boy I had that very stick about 15 years ago! thats the mofo.

neal, sadly I have a smart yet very dim sister (you knwo what I mean) she threw out not only the megadrivce 1 but also the mega cd, the mega drive 2 and 32X and pads.

due to good fortune I managed to save the snes, nes, amiga 500, speccy 48k etc

bid on it, I REALLY wanna play the amiga again.

its a beast, £24.99 it cost for the 512k memory upgrade to take the beast to 1meg of ram, fo shizzle ma nizzles!

its the original A500 then, not the A500plus, good stuff!

does yours have the little gold 'European computer of the year 1991' plaque on the top?

I had the A570 CD drive for mine, plugged on the side like those 20mb hard drives you could get. Gave it the same functionality as the CDTV. Used those crappy caddies for the CDs too. what a beast!

had to open the amiga up and do some modding to make the 512k trapdoor memory upgrade work as 'chip memory' rather than 'fast memory' for some of the CDTV stuff to work properly.

what games have you got?

never had that and its no longer got the shiny silver C badge on it either, I did however paint amiga red on it.

got all sorts, even deluxe paint!

lotus esprit challenge, zool, sleepwalker, nigel mansells f1, night breed and so on, got about 100 games at least

shadow of the beast 2 is still an all time fave of mine, despite being undeniably badly designed.

supercars 2

Leander

Speedball 2

Alien Breed

Chaos Engine

and of course... MOONSTONE!!!

Ah, the list goes on and on!

pretty much anything from Psygnosis or Team17 was good in those days

And it was actually quite advanced. True multitasking OS long before Windows could do it.

the amiga OS system is still highly regarded. Canna mind the name of it.
got shadow of the beast 2.

Seem to only have disc 2 of alien breed

I have loads, will have a better look through tomorrow

but the original prince of persia and flashback etc

yeah theres a coupel but they are all over the place with their pricing.

amiga cd32 500 quid, atari lynx fiver with 20 games etc!

rarely have anything decent in tbh, than again I haven't looked for ages

the ebay stick is nearly up
