yeah the badge is on the to do list, have a proper one here and a set of karmann ones too so theyll be getting on there asap... also is there anything in the tech section about adjusting the front windows of a cabby, the tops are grand and theyre going to the right height but they stick out a bit at the back, not sealing and such, cant find a tech article though

I'll have a look in Haynes later as there was a fair section on adjusting the cabby windows. Doing a First Aid course to day, so just about to head out though

you are aware there is only 1 subframe bush and even when they are buggered they only clonk over very big potholes or when you jump the car.

the sub frame is hanging low on the drivers side, there is something vissibly low at the back of the sub frame on that side, like a long thick bolt down about 1.5 inches, what could that be then?
would a pic be of any help? Here's some although its not really noticible in the pics, the symptoms are as follows... engine on drivers side is down about 1.5 inches, theres a lot of play in it, steering wheel is stiff and is turned to the left while going straight (off centre), reverse is ridiculously hard to select but can be selected with some fiddling around quazimoto style engine steering wheel looks like this when wheels are pointing straight
