Hi Micky

Ususally the reason why a R19 won't start is either no petrol or no spark.

You can test for spark by unscrewing a spark plug and connecting it, but resting the tip on the engine or chassis - then you should see it spark when you try and start the car. Alternatively you can stick a spark plug in the end of the king lead that goes from the ignition module to the distributor and do the same, that will tell you whether spark is getting to any of the cylinders at all.

You can test for fuel normally by removing a spark plug and smelling fuel!
Remember the R19 fuel pump is often either noisy or dying after 15 years of service. It's located in the fuel tank under the rear seats. Often you'll hear the motor whining when you turn the igntion on. If this is not happening then check all your fuses and the fuel pump relay (see Haynes Manual)

its not the injectors. If its not injecting then either theres an immobiliser issue or a crank sensor issue

Only if the injector plug had come loose, it's located at the left hand side of the fuel rail.

Of course if you have a later model 19 don't they cut the injectors when the immob cuts in?

if you have a late ph2 and the plip key works then assume the immobiliser isn't the issue
