Clio 1.4 --> Clio 16v

Hi guys,

Im new here but have viewed some of the forums before for previous problems ive had, never needed to sign up as ive normally had my questions answered, but this time i couldnt find an answer to my problem.

I had the idea the other day that it would be fun to put a 1.8 16v (F7P) or if i could find one 2.0 16v (F7R) into my 1994 Clio 1.4 RT.

The question i have is wether this is a fairly straight forward job? and if there are many changes i'll have to make to the car? like will the subframe of a clio 1.4 take the 1.8 and will the mounts need changing? im also assuming the 1.4 gearbox unit wont fit the 1.8 engine...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, Cheers!
