Chris

bottom ends are supposedly pretty robust, heads known to crack easiy if wrong or not enough antifreeze, boy says only cracked block he knows of was an uprated power unit that threw a rod through the side

Paul

PS this is only his knowledge and opinion and hes no expert but hes owned and built a few bikes

I have mate. I need to get pics, I have the camera here and just need to get pics of it.

So far,

I have defeated the locks without damage.

Tank and saddle off.

All fairing off

exhaust headers removed,

front frame removed

oil cooler removed

airbox/battery box removed

all the oil drained out (when I say oil, read yoghurt)

All the plugs out, 2 and 3 ok, 1 and 4 mayod up badly and number 4 snapped off in the head

Its ready to come out, has been for days. All thats left to do, remove the chain guard and get the chain off, remove the control cables and wiring. Then I can drop it out and pull it apart.

If the weathers decent after work tomorrow I will get pics and crack on with it.
