stolen from work

well was working late tonight.

Anyway we have a few old tools lying about in the work, I have had my eye on a 1 inch impact gun for a while and tonight I went to look at it and saw theres a Beta 1/2 drive one there.

That'll do me says i.

Asked Jonah who was also workign late what was up with it, he said it just stopped working one day. Now its been lying there since before I started working there so its been a couple of years.

Anyway took it over to the workbench and stripped it down, cleaned, removed rust and oiled it all up etc etc and now I have a perfectly good imapct gun for free.

result.

I tested it out on transit wheel nuts, it dealt with them all fine, so I'm rather happy about that.

This is the closest I can find to it

Beta Tools : Silenced impact wrench - "pin clutch" impulse device (motoGF)

Now bear in mind its a few years old so probably cost more than that!

Slightly scuffed and so on but it works and works well so I'm happy. Even if I only get a few months out of it, only spent half an hour reviving it.

I worked at the local rubbish tip for 8 months totting metal, one of the best jobs i ever had, used to make 250 quid a week at boot sales and had welders, socket sets, axes, hammers and virtualy any other tool you could mention )(probably not you though Chris :-) ) , all for free, even had 3 scooter frames (one a 1956 Diana) and a full set of Morris Minor panels in good nick, ebay was my second home :-)
