we have tomtom 500s in the work vans and they are great but the post code search is generally crap and they lose signal way to easy
i bought for myself a cheappy crappy 99 pound one from asda and its by far better then the tomtom, it does not ever lose signal even in tunnels it works, my step dad went up to peterborough a few weeks ago with my navcam and his mates were in another van with tomtom 510 they both used same postcode yet eric ended up just over a mile away from the shooting site with the tomtom and fred used mine and it took him to the exact right place, it just proves just because it costs more does not mean its better, i have all speedcams etc on mine to and 6 months worth of free updates so BARGAIN

Thing is people are swayed by the aesthetics and the name value of things.

I'll bet you there's a brand of cola out there that's actually better tasting than Coca Cola

I have Tom Tom mobile on my phone. The GPS reciever is bluetooth.
The screen is a bit small, but its a brillant gadget.

Can use it on the bicycle, shove it into the pocket at the back and listen to the route instuctions on the ear piece.

Radars, points of interest, addresses.

Used it in Spain and Italy.

If you know the route but put it in anyway, half the time it finds a short cut LOL

You can easily track mobiles.

You can track yourself, i did it the other day...as long as you have a phone that can get on the net, there was a findme function, which told me exactly where i was and showed me a map of my location!

Also you can get satnav on your phone....dependant on phone of course, but ask R1916S, he uses it.

Get a chauffer, and let them drive, you will never get lost again, they might but then it's down to them, not you
