Sat Nav

Anyone on here have much knowledge about sat nav? My mum is getting my old man a sat nav unit for christmas so I've been asked to find out which is best, looking at ones up to £200.

Looks to be one of:

TomTom One -£185.90
Garmin Nuvi 300 - £189.99
Garmin c510 - £149.99

Anyone have any suggestions from experience as to which is best?

Thanks.

A quote from the ignorant! Sat Nav is one of the greatest technologies out there.

Its not about getting lost, its about getting there easier and faster. My old sat nav didn't have full post code searching but got me exactly where i needed to go in the uk without fail. New ones are the business

I can get anywhere in the uk fine without it.

Gone all over the country just fine without it and in many cases without a map. If you knwo the distance and direction of somewhere you can find it easily, tune your inner compass, right now true norths about 9 o'clock to where I'm sitting magnetic norths about 7:30 ish last time I checked. I can sit down anywhere and know where it is, must be a talent or something.

lol, I'll just tell my mum to get my dad a compass then and a few lessons from "the H"

Decided to go for the TomTom One in the end, got it for £180 from woolworths. Means I'll have a new gadget to play with now
