White Dials

Hello all, long time no post, was in a fairly nice laguna ph1 the other day, guy who owned it had furnished it with some very impressive white dials which caught my eye, when i asked him where he acquired them he informed me he had made them from scratch, scanned & printed on his pc, i have no clue about changing dials but has anyone on here ever heard of or done something like this to a r19? if printed on standard paper will they illuminate correctly at night etc? i wouldnt mind having a shot at this but i am very sceptical... anyone any input?

one of my 19s had lockwood white dials, they look great... for the first couple of months until the sun starts fading them and they went from white to tobacco stain yellow!
Changed them back to the standard dials

yep i had lockwoods on my first 19 16V, rubbish.

Because the light diffuser behind the dials is orange plastic and the lockwood dials are supposed to light up blue, you just get an uneven (both in colour and brightness) spread. Looks cack tbh.

Ive got a set of white dials on my 19, even had a 19 printed on them. Only thing ive noticed with lockwood ones is that you only get speedo, revs, oil & water dials in white and none of the outer ones.

They were on the car when I bought it, by a company called "Colour Designs". Ive tried googling them but I cant find anything about them.

Heres a pic of the lot, didnt realise I had a decent shot of them

thanks for evrybodys input on this one, taking everything into account as much as id love to white dial it i think ill live with original stock for now, i had a template for the clocks and had done a few random kph only designs but all in all i think its safest to just stay stock, those clocks are classic by the way pete, love em
