if you think about it whatever number you choose will end up a multiple of 9 and all multiples of 9 have the same symbol so whatever number you choose will have the symbol it displays.

EDIT: Hadn't seen chets post when I posted, lol.

the fact that you are taking away numbers from your first number - if you choose any number, say 37, then you take away 10 = 27. if you went for a numbe one higher, 38 - 11 still = 27.

like you say, multiples of 9.

I did, believe it or not. I done it twice and for some reason i picked 23 and 27 so seen i got teh same number so worked it out from that!

Had i realised they were multiples of 9 i would've been quicker!

69 - 15 = 54

54 / 9 = 6
