Scrappy on a sunday, they arent usually open round here

Ended up playing for 2 hours straight earlier, consequently I am knackered and got cravings for junk food, helped slightly with pizza and potato dinosaur shapes when I got in

Got the car looking clean inside, we'll see how long that lasts. Still too wet to wash the thing

I've done bugger all today.

Went into the bookies, got my £30, bitch on the counter tried to short change me, good job I had worked it out beforehand eh. Then to the factors, £14 for a pair of track rod ends, took them out the box, put them back in the box, shoved 'em on the shelf for next weekend lol.

Went down the pub tonight for a bit, went with a good lady friend of mine, her dad died about a month ago so she was a bit raw but I could tell she enjoyed getting out the house for a bit. Took her home, had a bit of a gas in my car for half an hour, went home.

Anyway, not sure what tomorrow's got in store at work. I gotta go down the British Sugar refining factory in Newark for a site induction (yawn) and then over to Melton to start back on the tools, last week was a nice week in London as a building manager so I got to travel down on the train and back everyday in a shirt and tie feeling like some high-flying big city executive although in reality it was just a case of sitting at a desk pissing about on the computer til everybody fucked off and I just locked the building up.... easy.

Back on the tools this week though, I've been made electrical foreman for a very big installation job at a massive stately home, the whole estate (house/grounds/outbuildings) are being completely rewired from scratch and it is involving our own electrical team plus a team of electrical sub-contractors and I'm co-ordinating the whole job from start to finish... apparently it's my 'coming of age' project and tbh I'm hoping it all goes well because it's bringing my firm a lot of money.... high 5-figure if not low 6-figures job.

German guy came and picked up the boat Friday. £680 I got so well happy. Well I was until I had to give it to the mrs to pay our credit card bill. It is crabbing its way back to Dresden in Germany probably as we speak. I do hope those wheel bearings hold up........ as I did them

Saturday I was shopping

Sunday I had Maya while the Mrs went to work. So we played with Thomas the Tank Engine and a few Dollies (Mayas not mine hhhrrmmm) Took her out to lunch then picked thte Mrs up and had a roast dinner

Anyone else imagining Maya and Mals out at luncheon and Maya sitting there head in hands saying 'I'm so embarrassed'

Hey, we were sitting in a cafe singing the wheels on the bus and doing all the actions. There is nothing embarrasing about that

Using with my own arms and hands the swish swish wiper movements, the chatter chatter mums movement, the nod nod dad movement, the round and round wheel movement. Not using an actual bus as the boor to the cafe was not wide enough. I had to leave that in the multistory car-park

I've pressure washed the drive yesterday and it came up stunning.

Then went up to Sheffield to fix a breakdown as I'm on call, £160 just for turning a stop-tap off.... ta very much.

Today I've got my mates coming round in an hour or so.... it's Derby vs Forest in their first competitive league match for nearly 4 years so it's on TV and we're gonna perch our arses in front of 42" plasma goodness to watch it.

Then if the weather clears up a bit I might wash the van and the Vectra.

Yesterday I went got interior parts for the 106 and a rear axle for it.

Last night I fitted the rear axle, convertd it from 3 stud to 4 stud (needs to swap the full drums, backplates etc etc) made up some new brake pipes for it it.

Then halfway through doing that I fitted a new cv gaiter to steve's megane.

Today so far I fitted the interior parts to the 106.
