Its a funny thing Progression, we as the human race have come on in leaps and bounds over the last 150 years with technology enabling us to travel further and quicker, giving us the power to keep people alive longer and to understand and discover new things but as a species, we have stopped evolving and are in fact going backwards to when we were cavemen, you only have to see the modern youth in his natural enviroment and observe the very simple form of communication they have with each other and the caveman aggression they exhibit to themselves and those of us who have managed to miss that stage of devolution.

No we're evolving faster than ever which isn't necessarily a good thing in itself.

Remember that mankind as we know it has been around for 150,000 years - the wheel was only invented 5,000 years ago. That's 145,000 years it took our ancestors to create a working bloody wheel!

Unfortunatly the welfare state has short-circuited evolution.

Its a shame.

All of the inteligent and clever people are out at work, while those too stupid to talk without dribbleing are being paid to have equally feckless offspring.

It's worse than that. Young people with intelligence, skills or qualifications will begin to leave this island in their droves to places which demand such things for entry where they will be valued, rather than stay here and be taxed into the ground (along with their children and their children's children) to pay for the last 10 years of greedy feckers living waaay beyond their means and borrowing from the future.
