heater more like aircon !!!

during this cold weather my heater is really shit i was debating on flushing out the heater matrix does anyone else have any ideas?

The heater matrix either has an airlock or its fubared.

A coolant flush is always a good idea though, as Ash said, flush the system until it runs nice and clear, put some decent coolant in it and bleed the system (Bleed valve is on top right hand side of the radiator (air filter side)

If after that still no heat from the heaters it will be new heater matrix time and that is located behind the dash, a fun little job to do.

yh thats alotta fun, i know that the coolant is rusty, although it had brand new coolant in it last year after i put a new engine in it

You can flush the system through with an ordinary hosepipe if you manage to find the appropriate connections to undo.

Also isn't the bleed valve on the top rad pipe as opposed to the rad?

I think the energy engines are ok, I never had a problem on the one I had til the cambelt snapped and i literally never lifted the bonnet on it lol

But why run an energy when you can have a F7P
