New project
Bought this yesterday. Its a 1997 saxo vtr,102k,service hist,log book,had a new battery two days ago.Clutch this year,full exhaust including cat this year. The gearbox is noisy so going to have a look and see if theres any leaks (maybe low on oil?) if worst comes to worst i'll stick a box in it. Not bad for £100 hehe! Guy advised me he didn't think it would last long.Got me 15 miles home

The cars completely standard so its a good one. To be honest bb i was going to sort the box,valet it and sell it on and make a tidy profit. My clio is costing me a fortune,im paying £1400 insurance with £350 EXCESS so the time might have come to part with her Going to find out how much the vtr is to insure and go from there,im off till the 2nd so il sort some pics

If i was you i'd just whack it straight on ebay with a half decent listing and make a tidy profit on it. Then use the money you make to insure your Clio! If theres one thing ive learnt about buying and selling cars, its dont be greedy! If you got it for a good price (which it seems you have) dont bother trying to fix it up to make shitloads, just sell it as it is and make a bit of money on it. You never know what problems are gonna crop up next with it and before you know it you've spent more than your going to make on fixing it (that could just be me though!)

Cheers for the advise matt, i understand what your saying but why make £100 on it when you can make £500!
Can't say whether i'm keeping it or selling it yet.
