4 days today

since i quit smoking and surprisingly enough after my terrible 50-60 a day habit i have not really missed it, i just had the flu (man flu) and stopped point blank
1 thing me, stacey, and everyone else that has seen me this week has noticed is i cant stop farting they are big loud smelly ones. but at least im saving £15 a day and no longer infecting my lungs with poisoinus gasses now i am sharing my own bad gases with everyone.

i am also alot less short of breath and can now climb the stairs without nearly collapsing half way up.
its amaizing how quick you notice te benefits of not smoking
ie i have spent £5 in 4 days and that was on a KEBAB
anyway wish me luck and hope i dont restart the dreaded habit

Congratulations. I stopped 30 years ago from a 60 a day habit. Like you, I had flu and stopped at that time because they tasted awful. Afterwards, I just told myself that I wasn't stopping; if I wanted one I would have one; but, I never again wanted one.

Just think what you can do with that 5 Grand a year you've been sending up in smoke!

Good man, fookin spot on brethrin! I went that route myself from about 25-30 a day about 4 years ago and I've not looked back. You can things again, get your appertite back and above all you stop being a smelly git! In fact, I think it's more fun being an Ex-Smoker cos you can abuse smokers especially those that refuse to believe the smoking in public ban FULL STOP is coming!

yep, i'll be a happy man when that day arrives.

just imagine, I can spend the evening in the pub of my choice, not choke while i'm there, not smell like a fecking ashtray when I leave and not have to wash all my clothes and hair at the earliest opportunity. bliss!

Keep it up fella... don't worry about the fact you'll put on weight. You can cross that bridge next year cos the first 12 months is gonna be the real test of your will power. Once the first couple of months are gone though it'll be easy

Don't give up for any other reason than for yourself though - If you sneak a crafty one it's only yourself you're letting down! I still tell myself that today
