Megane Dash Bulbs

Dash bulbs gone out in your megane? Whats next the end of the world? Well never fear you can survive it.

What you need, flat screwdriver, T-20 screwdriver and new bulbs (big ones are capless 2W small ones are capless 1.2W).

To get to the display you need to take the dash top off, sounds a bit daunting but its not, I changed 2 bulbs for this guide and it was done in less than 5 minutes.

1st you have to remove the dash tweeter covers.

Use the screwdriver to lever them out.

As you can see in this next pic theres a single T20 screw to the left of the tweeter, theres one on the passenger side but to the right of the tweeter remove them

With those screws now out you can pop the dash top off, use the palm of your hand to thump the dash off upwards, then move it out of the way.

You will then be left with the exposed dash display

3 T20 screws hold the display in, remove them and then unplug the wires (you don't have to do this you can lift it up and change the bulbs that way

wiring plugs

To remove the bulbs twist them 1/4 turn and remove them, pull out the duff bulb from the holder pop the new 1 in and then put the bulb holder back in.

Plug the wires back in then if its daylight use a jacket or something over the wheel nd your head so you can see the lights if needed to make sure they work

Then all you have to do is screw it back in

Then put the dash back on pop it down then screws the 2 screws back in and pop the tweeter covers back on. Job done.
