chammy sills seem to last better than 3doors but they go at the base of the arch.

Chammys are rarer but cheaper generally.

Most ph1's that are cheap tend to have sill troubles now.

Feel the lower lip of the sill, especially at the rear, if its crumling of hole its bad.

A gentle tug up on the skirt can pull the sideskirts out of the sills lip if the sills are rotten.

Some hints that may help i hope.

chammy on another note with the skirts, if theres grooves cut into the top of the skirts by the door then its not a sign its been smacked etc, a few of them left the factory without being slid onto the right clips, they bulge up and thats what happens. Just need to slide the skirt back on right.

ph1 and 2 chammy differences are mainly looks.

The ph2 has some more penny pinching though. All ph1's have the rear wiper wiring loom in place under the shelf.

Ph2 only has 1 boot lid hydraulic lifter, ph1's have 2.

Ph2's as usual tend to rust more.
