True enough. Or if not they would have at least tested them before buying them and putting them on sale.

also allegedly those places like crime convertors are supposed to ask for receipts for expensive stuff to show it's not been stolen.

My cousin might be selling his very soon, as he has decided to give up d-j'in to concentrate on family life etc.. I know nothing about D'jin, but he's always played in well known places, and with some of the top names, so must be half decent stuf at least. Will have a word, and let you know what it is he has..

Whatever you do, do not get belt drive decks, they are totally crap for any kind of decent mixing as you can not control the pitch properly.
If you can afford it, get technics 1210s, they are the industry standard workhorse and last forever, cheap to service and parts are always available.

Also, make sure you get a mixer that has lows, mids and highs control per channel, using those in a mix is just as important as being able to beat match.
Dont bother getting one that has a fancy beat counter, none of them are accurate and you will never learn to mix properly if you rely on one.
You can pick up a decent NEW 2 or 3 channel mixer for under £150

1210s

the only reason they are said to be so good is
''they are the industry standard workhorse and last forever, cheap to service and parts are always available''

newmarks!
