This is the 3rd duplicate version of this thread in different sections, I've deleted one as it was completely irrelevant to the section it was in. Let it be the last please.

Just out of interest how much is it costing you to get the whole engine rebuilt and turbo'd at BB?
What spec you going for?
Are you going to be using there r-tuner ecu?
What gearbox you going to be using?

We converted a k reg 1.4auto into a 1.8 16v manual inside and out and it isn't too bad a job, however it's not straight forward. Though we only did it because it was a car that has always been owned by the family and we fancied something bigger if it was staying. Before traders insurance it was cheaper to insure then a 16v of the same year even after declaring all the mods. You have to declare every mod and the increase in bhp and then as a % of the originial.

I would strongly recommend if you are going to that extreme that you buy a 16v and turbo that. If not you could use it for parts, far cheaper and easier to get all that you want. I am not sure why you don't just get a 16v and turbo it!

Lets just say you will never drive it at 340bhp in a FWD car. Interested to know what spec you are getting though.

Renault 5 16v turbo

Thats my one MOT tomorrow.

They dont call me bigfoot for no reason lol. Dont need to prove anything.

I know what you mean with all the people in their japanese cars. I pretty much guarantee all those are worked on by companies and the owners have never got their hands dirty.
