Was planning to use a F7P sump on a F7R block but it's not proving straightforward... however I have been advised on some routes to try

You really still want this block that i'm sure is dead? The pistons are well rattly in the bores.

On the subject of sumps,does anyone know if a F4R sump will fit an F7R ok???

UPDATE:

Well the F7P sump will fit the F7R block, providing the oil pickup stem (and the pump itoo f you want to keep the pump complete)
is carried over from the F7P.

However the F7P sump does not have the internal fixings for the F7R baffle plate so this could be an issue

i doubt it, but heck i still havent managed to get mine of the engine but it goes int he garage middle of the week roughly for all the gaskets. and then it awaits a lot of bits to come back from powdercoating.
