I'd be ringing round the local factors to get some prices - and they will be more than £40 exchange. Remember the R19 16v shafts are different to any other so be aware.

Last time I tried the national factors had stopped stocking them so it would be good to find out what Renault are charging at the moment. Also try Motrio.

cheers dude i had cv boot fitted at garage and a week later my wheel nearly is hanging of. the threads are knackered on the driveshaft not sure wheather it had anything to do with the garage

Sounds like they knackered it! But your wheel is not attached to the shaft, it's attached to the hub.... so what's the problem exactly?

had cv boot fitted then a week later every time i went round a left hand corner it was grinding and sqealing from the right hand side so i jack it up and i could move wheel so i thought bearing. then checked the nut it was loose so i tried to tighten it up and it kept turning took nut of hey presto no threds on it would they have to take that nut of to do a cv boot

theres nothign wrong with doing the nut up with an air gun, whats happened is they belted hell out of it to get the shaft out of the hub and damaged it, then forced the nut on instead of dressing the end of the shaft.

i went to see them and they just fobbed me of, they reckon someone else has had the nut of before i got new shaft now tho from a motor factors just gonna do it myself
