Kiwi in wombat sex attack claim
A MAN was sentenced to community service after claiming to be the victim of a sex attack by a wombat, an experience which left him speaking "Australian".
 Kiwi Ross Cradock, 48, made an emergency call to police in February, saying that a wombat was raping him at home and that he needed help, according to a local newspaper. The man, from the South Island town of Motueka, called back later and said: "Apart from speaking Australian now, I'm pretty all right, you know." After the orchard worker pleaded guilty to using a phone for a fictitious purpose, he was handed 75 hours community work. The court heard from police prosecutor Sergeant Chris Stringer, who said that Cradock's life was blighted by alcohol.
