Some random pics

the rad fan and rad of the diesel engines, yes its huge.

The other fan is the standard 1.4 rad fan, its also the same size as used in early clio 16V's before they went to the bigger 19 16V fan.

Its to big to fit in a 5 subframe and also to big for a 19 unless you use the extender brackets.

This is my new engine, a clio 16V engine.

The plastic covers are there, I just took em off to check for oil leaks and to turn the engine over

Its an early engine, it may be a 19's engine as the plates been removed, you can tell its early by the drain plug and the white pressure sender, this one missed the renault recall.

the dizzy cap is actually cracked

this is the loom that came with it, yes its a 19 16V (phase 2) loom and no I haven't checked it over to see if its ok or not yet.

Dougal gave me back the 16V manifold I gave him ages ago as hes no use for it, nice one, needs new studs in it as does the clio's engine

yeah I spotted it on the bay and asked dougal if he could get it for me, turns out he had already asked and got more pics. So got him to stick the bid in and get it.

i went up with Steve yesterday to collect it.

The engine btw was £50.

its copper sadly so fart at it and it breaks apart. the fins have taken a beating when the hose went near them.

copper core rads = shite.

they are weaker, easier damaged and so on.

They are NOT any better than ally rads, ok the thermal dissipation is slightly better, but not that much better.
