1987 Amiga promotional video

1987, thats twenty years ago (pretty much).

For some you weren't even born, I was a year away from starting primary school.

Anyway this was when the Amiga 500 was pimped out heavily, and it carried on right up until mid 93' with the A1200.

Anyway this video is long 15 mins long. Its Commodores pro mo video.

Well worth a watch and tbh its amazing at what the thing could do.

well what struck me with the video was in 20 years we haven't really come on that far!

Look at a zx80 to an amiga - massive step in 7 years also amiga used the internet before the 90's!!!

Amiga to pc 1993 - nothing notable in it tbh.

Consoles have came on leaps and bounds of course as have the latest spec pc's but tbh if windows wasn't fully compatible with all the crap they have going 30 years back then it would be better as the technology woudl be used to its fullest.

there was an A1200 on freecycle just round the corner from me the other day.

Nearly went and nabbed it but then i thought 'really - WTF am I going to do with it?'

you know neal thats what I'm thinking! lol

The speccy its really just a technical exercise as I am repairing it and so far it is improving!

The amiga, it works, played some games spent some cash but tbh its crap! The good old days are best remembered rather than visited.

DC, snes etc stuff different as theres less stuff and less hassle its just plug and play

The other factor is I will need to sell these things (apart fromt he consoles) all very soon as theres no space, I am throwing out renault parts and various stuff fromt he house, vcr's, cd players and so on.

I have no need for them and need to get rid of the clutter for the 'big move'.
