R E T R O - R E N A U L T - P A R T Y - 2 0 0 8

It's been a great year already for the Club, with a record turnout of members for French Car Show, an excellent World Series event where Neal won a show award for his R19, and recently a great evening at the Ace Cafe. As I write TRAX is coming up in September and I'm hoping some other meets can be organised through the autumn.

Due to a) the shows all falling early in the year, and b) members being keen! we are organising a final meet for 2008. This will be a great chance to meet people off the forums, swap parts for all your exciting winter projects and generally see the year off Renault style.


Date:
Saturday November 22nd-23rd
Afternoon through til evening / overnight

Handy for travellers from all over the UK, this is easily reached from the M1, M5, and M40 motorways as well as Birmingham International Airport.

Exact location plans are under revision as the number one choice location in fully booked - expect something similar, East Birmingham / M42

Accommodation:
No more having to drink Coke all day this time, there are beds available in the Inn!
(Room availablility and pricing to follow tomorrow)


Costs:
There will be no costs other than your own food, drinks and accommodation

We have choices people, the world is our lobster. Please PM me (or Reply) with sensible suggestions about a location you think you want to go to. We're trying to make this as easy as possible for everyone that wants to, to come along and join in. Obviously this rules out Cornwall, the Highlands, Barbados, places like that. So far we have:

Yer but the theme parks aren't open in november as it's winter and they have to closes down, and birmingham's more expensive for hotel accomidation prab with the added risk of you or your car being attacked (if we're in the centre of brum that is and i used to live there, so know what it can be like)

I don't mind the location as long as it's some where cheap, with safe parking as Melvin will not be left on his own in a rough area (he gets scared on his own lol)

It's a little easier for me if it's glos to help sort out the hotels and pub as my personal licence is registered here and i know some of the personal licence holders from the pub watch meeting.

I don't like Brum. I used to DJ in Digbeth and on several occasions came back to my alarmed and immobolised car to find a window had been smashed , the glove box and boot turned inside out.
They never got anything of value because i never left anything decent in the car but still had the hassle of getting the window repaired, glass hoovered up and putting everything away.
I have DJed in various places around the UK, including places like Brixton and never had the car touched there, only Brum.
