Hello Everyone

Hello - Well, Heres Me - R19freak - A Newbie (nice Name For It!)

Just Joined Today, Hoping To Speak To Some Other Renault Lovers (although It Can Be Very Hard @ Times) I Need Some Encouragement!
Im A Bit Annoyed @ The Minit (a Nice Way To Put) Ive Just Spent The Last Week Removing, Fixing & Putting My Very Expensive New Modified F7p Engine Back Into My 19 16v After Only Doing 1230 Miles.
Had To Remove It 2 Weeks After Fitting It (took It France For A Bit Of Running In) Due To A Bad Oil Leak, Whinning Gearbox & A Faulty Starter Motor! So I Was Well Happy.
Now, To Top It All Off, Ive Just Got It All Back In, With A New Starter Motor, New Drive Shafts, A Supposid 55,000 Mile Gearbox, New Engine End Plate & Oil Seal & Few Other Bits & Guess What???????? No Reverse Gear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As I Said, Im Well Happy.
Oh Well, Now Its All Got To Come Back Out Again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No Reverse

hello mate. thanks for the reply.
no, i havent tried to adjust it, ive removed the linkage arm instead & tried to put it into reverse from the lower arm on the geabox - it just makes a grinding noise & then pops back out.
i have got a brand new gearbox which i got from ebay as a "new jb3" new in the crate. problem was i never checked it after buying it & when i came to fit it a year later, the bell housing was different, so i called someone i know @ my local renault dealer & gave him the part numbers. he told me its from an rsi clio or 19 but is only ever-so-slightly different.
im now going to look @ changing the bell housing over with a 16v version & seeing what happens.
thanks for the advise.

lol I bet you a steak dinner you will not be able to change the bellhousing on it.

Just fit the box it will be fine, there will be a gap at the bottom but it'll be fine.
