has the dash display been out lately? theres a plug for this switch, a small 2 pin effort.

Also is the knob actually turning? many spin on the pin, it should turn a few degrees and have a noticable click

the twisty bit is no longer stuck to the thingy, pull it off (it will slide off) in fact is it the right one? Is it chunky with grips on it or is it smooth?

Grips is the right one its liek a small knob, the smooth style is the wriong one, a dab of super glue with stick it back on.

To make sure it resets pull the kobb off and them twist the bit with needle nosed pliers.

roddy has one not been on a while and a couple of others that have not been on.

Why do you want to find other owners? I know them reasonably well if its problems with it.

maybe not a full closure alarm.

if it won't twist at sall then the speedo is the wrong one or someones had it apart and the arms turned and trapped itself.

Take the dump valve off, and take it apart, assuming its a diaprhagm type I bet the diaphragm has split.

If its a forge they will replace the diaprhagm FOC as all their stuff has lifetime guarantee.

Otherwise get a new one
