Hi and welcome to RR.

Nice R5, looks smashing (apart from the rear spoiler)

That photo though, looks weird, makes it look like a model car in a model garage, weird.

Yeah one of those where the only thing in focus is the car...

On a similar note, there are interesting techniques to make a scene, e.g. an aerial view, appear as a model. Essentially you give the impression that the only thing in focus is the object, so you really blur the foreground and the background. The tactful insertion of hands can help too! There was a great guide I had bookmarked but it's not longer in existence so here's a couple of second rate links (slightly photoshop biased, last one is best):

If you have any photos of a spoiler that looks better then you could always post them for me to have a look!

I've never seen any, so untill then, the spoiler stays on.

Thanks for your comments.

i would agree, the back does itself justice, the similarities between the 5 and the 21 nevada i learned to drive in are uncanny, definately a distant cousin

There is no need to take offence as none was intended, it is merely my opinion and like everyone knows, opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one!

I'm in agreement with BBRacer, i prefer the standard spoiler on the 5 to an aftermarket one and no spoiler at all looks even better, the 5 has nice clean lines and (remember this is only my opinion) i think any spoiler destroys those flowing lines.

It is your car and being your car you are entitled to do what ever you like to it, thats fair enough but there is no need to take offence because a couple of people dont like it.

As i said before, Nice R5 (and i still dont like the spoiler )

No problem, as I wasn't offended at all. I don't expect everyone to like my spoiler.

When I asked you to post some pictures of any spoilers you thought were better I was being
geniune.

That spoiler has been on a while and I have never seen any that I like more. I was hoping
you might know of some.

So far the only thing thats been offered is a standard spoiler which looks ok but is not really a
spoiler or no spoiler which I wouldn't ever consider.

Totally agree with you about the clean lines thing though, especially the rear end. I think the back end is the best looking part of the car.

That picture of the grey 5 above is a nice example, (apart from the wheels)

I've stuck the original spoiler back on now, you guys were right.

The standard spoiler compliments the lines of the car.
