IM back help please

Hello im back after being deleted!!!

Someone once told me that i would be able to fit a Renault 19 dt engine and box to my clio Mk1 1.9d, and even a Megane dt engine would fit.

Now what i asking is:

Is this true and if so how hard would it be to fit.

Does the clio Mk1 diesel, renault 19 dt and megane dt have any ecu?

Does any one know of any garages that could do this in the london/kent or essex areas?

Any help please

yeah I see no reason why it wouldnt fit.

the ecu's will need to be swapped over and i'm not sure if the fuel pump would need to be swaped too for the DT one. I'd imagine the looms were similar but there would be some differences as your clio doesent have a turbo, so I'd expect you to get away with using the 19's loom.

Never done this job myself so this is all guess work, but I don't think I'm too far off the mark.

the clio will take the lump easy and it has all the mounts for it on the clio to hang it off the drivers side turret from the top (like the TD 19)

powering a modern ECU'd engine is a reall piece of piss aslong there will be about 5 wires before it kicks into life, now i dont no about diesels in particular but to make the petrol 16v to reconise boost you need to change the map sensor (use the 19 TD one and you cant go wrong) make a nice zorst system and sort the cooling then my friend enjoy it really is easy

Now this is good news thanks... the only thing is i have also posted this on other forums and they seem to think the turbo on the td lump wont fit in as the bulkhead hits, is this true? and also could someone let me know if a old Megane1 (up to 199 dt engine would fit in to a clio Mk1.

Thanks
