Forum How To: Project Report

This post is going to explain how to use the projects area of the forum. Despite its title this area isn't for big projects like engine transplant and the type. We're just as interested in hearing about you changing a set of plugs as fitting a supercharger. You are free to use this feature as much for fitting a new washing machine as an engine!

Ok, 8 easy steps:

Making Your Own Project Report
  1. Go into the Project Report Forum and press the button.
  2. The first option is to upload a Header Image. This is the image that will be displayed beside your report so it should be of your car or something similar. Simply press browse and find a picture from your computer
  3. The next options are for your title and byline. Your title should be something short and descriptive e.g. "Chets 5 Turbo" or "Project Turbo Clio" The byline is a short description of the project.
  4. The next 4 options are easy, the acquired date is the date you got the car and the price is how much you originally paid for it. You can also upload another car picture here which will be displayed as fullsize rather than the thumbnail size of the header image.
  5. Finally we have the main body of the report, here you can write away to your hearts content about your car and the troubles you've had!
  6. The rest is the same as posting to a normal forum.
  7. To start a second page simply type [BREAK] in your report to insert a page break
  8. To update your report simply edit your original post. DO NOT UPDATE THE REPORT BY POSTING A COMMENT

IN ORDER TO 'BUMP' YOUR REPORT TO SHOW OTHER MEMBERS THAT YOU HAVE UPDATED IT YOU SHOULD POST A COMMENT TO SAY IT HAS BEEN UPDATED. THIS COMMENT WILL THEN NEED TO BE APPROVED BY THE MOD TEAM

If you use [BREAK=Big Nobbly Bits] your page will come up with the title 'Big Nobbly Bits'.

There's no workaround for Page 1, that will always remain 'Page 1'
